Check out the cop crossing the road. He is extremely lucky he is wearing a breakaway vest. If you listen carefully you can hear the vest break apart. If it hadn't he would easily have become an accessory to the race car.
As he clears the roadway at theend you can watch his vest fall apart and slide down.
So what are the odds of catching this on tape at very high speed AND watching him walk away?
You know you have to always think about just where to park your fire pump when you arrive on scene, however things can change in mysterious ways.
This wasa tes conducted in the UK. The train was going at high speed on a bend so as to reduce the warning time he could give the work crew. As you can see, there is time. The further away you can see a vest the better. Those extra few yards can make the difference between life and death. You can see our vests at night at distances of well over 2,000 feet away using a small maglite. Even further if you use headlights or other stronger light sources.
