We use only the best materials available today in the construction of our vests and garments.
ALL relevant materials are independently tested
and certified by exteranl testing houses.
This includes fabrics and reflectives used.
ANSI 107-2004, ANSI 207-2006, NFPA 701 small flame test, ASTM 1506, N70e, EN471,
EN533, to name but a few of the certificates
we have received.
Our garments are ALL self-certified. Why do we not get the finished garment tested externally and certified? Simple. Cost!
Each and every time a gament is changed or modified it has to be re-tested. That includes if we add a pocket, add a radio loop, for each and every size, etc etc You get the picture.
Each test is not a re-test, the testing houses start from scratch as their name is on the line. So they charge for that privelage. That is several thousands of dollars per test, per change etc etc
So we have our "raw" materials tested and certified externally and we self-certify what we create with those "raw" materials. That way we do not have to pass those heavy costs on to our customers.
This proecedure is outlined and encouraged by ANSI themselves in the back of their standards booklets.
This is what most manufacturers do in practical terms but we thought you the customer should know it, not guess it. No smoke, no mirrors, just plain commercial logic.
